        The law firm of Walter J. Mathews, P.A. is a boutique firm that provides superior, personal and cost-effective services to our clients.  Our practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in both federal and state courts, e-discovery, appellate work, securities arbitrations, and estate planning.  

        We represent clients in both investigations or litigations initiated by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA” f/k/a NASD and NYSE), United States Commodities Futures Trading Commission (“CFTC”) and the United States Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”).  We also regularly represent clients in Broker-Dealer employment disputes, securities arbitrations, commercial litigation, first amendment disputes and personal injury actions. 

        We are a leader among South Florida firms in developing a practice devoted to helping our clients leverage technology to conserve resources and protect confidential information throughout the litigation process.  Our attorneys have substantial experience in federal court and understand that extensive initial investigation and careful upfront case management, especially with respect to electronic data, can well serve our clients and minimize business disruption over the course of litigation. Our attorneys also counsel clients regarding data management and litigation preparedness.  We are also available to other attorneys and their clients, in addition to our own, to manage electronic discovery and other matters before federal courts.

        Additionally, we have significant experience in administering receiverships and assignments for the benefit of creditors and in providing wealth management and estate planning services to clients.
